A mother's duty Pieter de Hooch
The question of the previous exercice was how depht is this passage? Here the questions are : Where do it leads? What is on the other side?
The proposition is inspired by the scenario model. I completed an existant corner to create three narrow passages. The narrowness and the drastic turns create a space similar to a labyrinth.
What a vertically imposant floating wall

Where do it leads? A slope which invite to conturn the corner
The geometry of the corner permits corridors hidden from each other except on the angle. From this point of view, we can see all the faces of the corridors.
From the angle, the incline of the ground grows the perspective and pushes backwards which intensify the imposance of the high frontal walls.
First model a sort of shelter
Cardboard with a different colour on each face
To focus on the duality between a side and the other, I reduced the thickness of the walls to the minimum to have like pure surfaces forming the limit.
The contrast and duality beetween the inside and the outside of the shelter is materialised by the bi-coloured cardboard.

View from the angle
The project is a neat separation of two sides.
On one side we have two passages with cold walls and open to a large area.a public space
On the other side we have warm walls and the structure delimiting close locations.a private space
