The element on the site creates a huge contrast between both of their spaciality. The one of the site is huge and undefined, whereas our element closes the space and therefore brings us back to the human dimensions. The contrast is emphasised by the zenithal window which confronts us to the height of the bridge and the frontal window (185cm), closed by the pillar. We brought this contrast again on the structure itself, with the different joints and the different woods.
- Monge Projection -
The contrast between the height of our element, which is at human dimensions, and the hugeness of the bridge really stands out in the monge projection.
- Models -
Our first model was relatively basic, the joints needed to be improved.
The construction details of the joints of the pentagon window is a lot more complex than the ones of the rectangular window, creating a contrast.
We also added one piece of wood on both sides of the rectangular window in order to enhance the spacial relation between the pillar of the bridge and our element. It focuses the vision on the pillar.

- The Site -
The S P A C I A L I T Y of the site does not enable us to realise its real dimensions. Therefore we decided to create an element which brings us back to human dimensions.

DOOR - WINDOW
Our first element, which combines doors and windows, tends to gradually diminish the space until we meet the final door-window, at human scale (height : 185 cm)
