• SYNTHESIS : PLANES

    I was inspired by "measures" for the vertical and horizontal planes and by "elements" for the inclined one. Each plane is displaced over the other, which creates the particularity of the space constructed.  

    The main difficulty of the projet was to reflect about the dimension and the specific place of each plane into the protostructure, so that the space could be correctly percieved by its occupant.

    The three planes I built interact with each others through the shift between them to create a space.

    The space is confined and the disposition of each plane introduces its dynamic.

    The Monge projection gives all the measures of the planes.

  • WEEK 12 : PLANES

    The wall is embedded into the protostructure thanks to a notch. Two wooden pillars hold the cantilevered roof. They are embedded into the protostructure and into the roof.

  • WEEK 11: PLANES

    The planes are constructed, so that a thin line of light could pass between the high verticality and the roof as well as between the wall and the floor. Each plane is in relation with the others without touching them, only with a little shift which gives to the projet its dynamic. 

    The roof is larger than the floor, so that we can't see the vertical wall except through the zenithal opening. Moreover the floor exceed  the wall in order that we can't see its end through the lower space.

  • WEEK 10 : PLANES

    I would construct a little space against a large verticality. Its roof, which is supported only with two lines of wood, reinforced the confinement of the space created.
