This House has two main objectives: to admire the game of others and to admire the game of nature». In order to give the opportunity to admire nature on this site, it is necessary to make the slope habitable. To do this, we were inspired by the project of Youssef, which lands on the slope and offers several seats where we can rest or circulate easily. At the end of this slope, you have direct access to water where you can, for example, swim. In addition, with the addition of a walkwaycrossing the Diagonal Platform (derived from Youssef’s project), beginning from the parking and at the end of which, one can have a panoramic view, dominating nature around us. A second goal of this House is to “bring people together”. For that, we merged Mikael’s stage with this diagonal platform, which continues even after the end of the slope. This fusion facilitates the circulation between these spaces.
The aforementioned footbridge is just below this scene, in order to allow people using it to be always in contact and interacting with the other spaces.
Then this scene is linked with Delphine’s project, which is a place of debate allowing a gathering, especially for a discussion about the play that took place on the stage. That’s why, in the «chronology of spaces», we put it after the theatre stage. Also, a part of this set of projects is inserted in Julia’s project, which has an impressive appearance and can thus play the role of a signal.
There are three spatial gestures existing in this House. Diagonal gesture to inhabit the slope.Horizontal gesture to use it for different purposes (either to give a panoramic view or with the theatre stage). Vertical gesture for the ascent to the different spaces with the stairs inspired by Mathilde’s project.
Movement is an important aspect of this House: in each room, one has multiple choices to circulate freely, one can even circulate and leave this House without taking a path already taken.
Another specificity of this House is that we can have courses that are done in very different directions but yet in very close «spaces». For example, when the diagonal course on the slope “passes” near the pathway on the horizontal platform: people taking these different paths can almost graze for like a split second, while having opposite destinations.

Since our site is located on the shore of the river Rhone, it was primordial to work with it. First we created a greater connecting element, the ramp.
But the ramp wasn’t interacting with the shore yet. We had to go further. By opening a little frame at the lower side of the ramp, we discovered several opportunities.
The tilted shore under the ramp is able to be inhabited. We added some horizontal benches to create a new space for gatherings. There are some transparent wooden walls confining the area, which are allowing some light to enter. On the upper side, we reduced the height of the protostructure and the theater, to bring it back to the ground, our main point of orientation.
Despite the major advancements on the site, we still kept the principal nature of the projects we chose to work with.
